How to Market Your Health Insurance Agency

SEO and Marketing

Everyone needs health insurance. There are many insurance agencies that offer it, so it can be difficult to make yours stand out.

1.       Simplify your website platform

Simplifying doesn’t always mean taking away. Sometimes it means adding quick quote forms and other tools that make access easier for clients.

2.       Invest in content marketing

Keeping in contact with clients after they’re already signed up is often seen as secondary to finding new clients, but retention is just as important. Providing useful emails, occasional check-in calls and other reminders help clients keep your insurance agency in mind. It also makes them feel like your insurance agency is in reach. Health insurance needs can change in the blink of an eye, and it’s important that clients feel seen.

3.       Set up social media accounts

Social media is one of the biggest marketing tools at the moment. Establishing an online presence and brand voice is essential to drawing in new customers.

4.       Maintain email data

When your emails go to spam accounts, incorrect accounts and unresponsive accounts, the company email is more likely to be marked as spam. Clear away bad contacts and provide quality content to actual customers who need it.

5.       Maintain brand voice

Brand voice is hard to establish. Once you have an established brand voice, it’s important to keep that brand voice consistent. In order to build and maintain an audience, each client should be treated equally. All social media posts and marketing content must have the same voice in order to be instantly recognizable.

6.       Create unique content

The value of unique content cannot be understated. Unique content not only agrees with search engine algorithms, but it also provides information and perspectives that your clients (or potential clients) may not have known. Health insurance can be a confusing, anxiety-inducing topic. Providing unique website, marketing and social media content can be a tool for clearing away some of that.

7.       Create and host educational videos and webinars

Some clients are visual and auditory learners. Educational webinars and videos can widen your agency’s reach and explain the process of quoting and purchasing health insurance. It’s a great way to connect with clients and answer frequently asked questions.

If you’re not sure where to start or doubt that you have time to invest in the above points, you can always use our agent resources to help boost your insurance agency.
